The Research Methodology course is designed to equip students with basic concept of educational research methodology, quantitative and qualitative research approaches, and various research methods, such as basic research, applied research, and R & D. With that being said, the fifth-semester students are expected to: 1) be able to identify and explain theories related to research methodology and research methods; and 2) be able to write research proposal/report.


Language Testing Instrument Development course is designed to equip students with general knowledge about evaluation in English language skills. With that being said, the fifth-semester students of English Education Study Program are expected to be able to identify and explain the theories related to the evaluation of English language learning, the types of evaluation, the types of English tests, and the criteria and principles in developing English tests.



Listening comprehension is designed to equip students who are taking the Intensive Course with an understanding of vocabulary, main ideas, supporting details, and moods of messages from English discourse/dialogue/conversation at the elementary level. Therefore, students are expected to be able to identify the vocabulary, main ideas, supporting details, and moods of messages: attitudes, feelings of speakers and urgency that are relevant to the authentic materials presented.

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge on nature, concept, and principles of English grammar. Students will practice their language components by analyzing the structure and written expression on TOEFL. The materials will cover English grammar and the skill in solving the questions related to TOEFL.

By the end of this course, the students will have theoretical and practical knowledge of English grammar for structure and written expression on TOEFL.
